Room W/ A View

This is what I call a view!

Drives and Shabu Shabu

This was at a lookout, overlooking Los Angeles. Not a very clear day today, but the view was still
amazing and the air was cool and dry. We sat around staring at miniature buildings in the
distance and catching stray ladybugs. It was nice. There was a big colorful structure at the
lookout with little stone seats built into the concrete floor, covered in graffiti and glass
bottle debris. Very odd little structure, with no sign or plaque to explain what it was
for. We spent a good 30 mins enjoying the view and talking, and then left.

The sun was slowly setting and we were already on our way down the mountain when we decided
on eating Shabu Shabu in Pasadena. I still think I prefer homemade Shabu over any Shabu house i've
been to so far. I'm keeping my eye and mind open for a good one in LA. Anyone have any leads?
Still working on researching different restaurants in California. So far, I've found so-o many! I'm
loving the variety here. The possibilities are endless!

After dinner we drove home and watched the baseball game my husband recorded on DVR. Looks
like it's going to be another lazy night spent indoors, in front of the t.v. Looking forward to
waking up early and getting out of the house. Not 100% sure what we're doing yet, but I have a
feeling it has something to do with an ocean, a surfboard and a towel for me to sit on while
bird and pier watching. We'll see if my intuition is right, tomorrow.

*Side note: Feeling a little under the weather, some kinda sinus issue again.

Gonna try to rest my head and sleep earlier than usual. Have a good night!

On A Friday Night

Tonight we stayed in, watched a baseball game, ate take-out, drank cheap
champagne, played video games and just hung out & talked. We're planning on
getting out of the house tomorrow, not sure where, but out, and that's
all that really matters. OUT. Out of this apartment. My allergies have been
ridiculously bad, lately. I need some fresh (as fresh as fresh gets, here) air. I
can't wait to sleep in & explore some new realm outside of these walls.

Have a nice, relaxing weekend, everyone. And those who work, try to find some
alone time between the craziness.

Korbel + Investments

I ended up buying something today. An investment if you will...

If All Else Fails & The Ship Fails To Set Sail...

I layed in bed last night for 4 hours trying to sleep. My mind won't stop scanning
through random bits of life. How do I stop this insanity??

Now we're at the office. Stopped in Santa Monica area for lunch and got caught in horrible
traffic, caused by a Police Standoff at the Federal building. Apparently the suspect was
making threats to the White House. When we were on our way back to the office I watched
undercover cars, fire trucks and a bomb squad speed past. Hmmm.

On a positive note, we have nothing planned for this weekend. My husband wanted to drive
down to Santa Barbara, but we'll see. I still feel like I'm recovering from last week and
shutting down spring 2010 for work. Took every last ounce of energy out of my body & soul.

Recharge.
Reboot.
Redo.

Have a good day.
