Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween, everyone! I actually made it out of the house today! We went down to
Hollywood, walked around, bought a few wigs for Halloween, and wore it around the
whole day. We just hung out at this public estate in Beverly hills and took some photos,
then on the way home, picked up a bunch of groceries from the Japanese market and
made Shabu Shabu at home. Rented the movie "Antichrist" but the first 15 minutes
completely turned me off. I think there are some free horror movies on demand that
we could watch. I seen a bunch of cheesy 80's stuff, which is more my speed lately.

Overall, I had a good day. Hope you're having the same.

Ps-I couldn't stop laughing at Ron's wig. I tried it on and looked like mama Brady, from
the Brady Bunch. Not fun.

Halloween Eve

Tomorrow is Halloween and we have nothing planned as usual. I've just been working all
day, and listening to music on Blip. Found some good mellow stuff and just finished eating
dinner with Ron.

Went through some old camera stuff, and cleaned my lenses and attachments. Call it boredom.
I should also clean the room, my clothes seem to be everywhere lately. Like my mind.

Need some change.

Coming soon! I'm actually really really excited, which is weird to me. I can't
wait to see those blue skies again, and feel the warm humid air!!! See friends
and hug my family. It has definitely been too long.

Mondays With Less Light

Mondays, with a lack of light. I need to somehow break free of this cavernous living.

Craft Stores + Splitting Headaches.

The weekend has been good to us. Relaxation and good food. Finally had some Tan Tan
Men, a few glasses of Plum wine that made my head POUND this morning. Might have to
find a new favorite drink.

Today I went to a craft store and braved the maze-like crowds to the construction paper
and glue + tape aisles. The line was incredibly long with a bunch of last minute Halloween
decoration shoppers, but I really needed the glue and tape for work, so we waited. And Waited.

Picked up some Mexican food on the way home and ended up decorating my work area at home,
with Halloween decorations. It's Halloween decorating on a budget. :) I love it, makes me feel
excited for next week and people watching on Halloween night. Not sure where we're going
yet, or if we're even dressing up.

But, you're never too old for costumes, right? Or am I wrong?

Wednesday: The Light Was Screaming Through The Windows

Slowly flipping through pages, trying to find inspiration. I remember times like
these, where our minds wandered in the wind like floating lanterns and sleepy
white clouds. Sometimes it's just a matter of stepping away from it all and
allowing yourself to breathe.

Another Mistake.

Another mistake. BUT BUT BUT!!! At least the exposure is a little more on point than the last
one. I'm slowly getting it, only now I ran out of film. Damn. Gonna have to take a little trip
down to pick up some fuji, I should call first just in case they don't have any left.

Oh, so the mistake was, I was trying to focus on the fan but focused on the trees outside
instead. I wonder if I was too close to focus. I need to research a little more. Probably
won't be able to get any film till Saturday, unless Samy's down the street have some in
stock. I should call.

Anyway, about to clean up and shower and deep condition my hair. I need a haircut so
badly, but every weekend something comes up and I can't go visit Kimmi. Hopefully
next week will be okay.

Fixed | Sunday

Finally got my Land Camera to work. I spent all day on sites and message boards trying to
figure out why the battery I ordered didn't fit! Finally at about 9pm I asked Ron for help
and he figured it out. The original battery that was in my camera, broke, and a piece of it
was stuck to the snaps. It looked like it was suppose to be part of the cam, but wasn't.
Anyway, it works now. I just have to fool around with exposure and focus and get more film.

"Watchin' the tide roll away"

What a long day, again. Woke up and got ready in a hazy state, still somewhat asleep in the
brain. Met w/ my husband's friend Scott and worked from about 1ish till 4-5. I can't really remember
when it all ended. It's all sorta bleeding into one long memory of a day. Such a good day though! Scott's
parents are amazing people, so sweet and friendly and so cute together, and his mom makes the best
Rosemary chicken i've ever tasted. It was the first time (away from home) that a home cooked meal hit
the spot. We were shooting photos on the beach until the fog started to roll in. Apparently it's not normal
for so much fog to be around at this time of year. I liked it, I didn't see it as a negative at ALL. Fog
reminds me of San Francisco and friends and feeling inspired and bookstores and public transit.
I sat, staring out the window, listening to the boats blow their fog horns. Such a wonderful feeling.
I had a good day. Well worth feeling completely drained. No complaints here.

Lupitas

Lupitas. Down the road from the office. Came here after the game, eating like a bunch of
zombies. So incredibly tired from that heat, but got to see a good game and have
a yummy dinner. Two thumbs up for today. :) G'night.

Fall | 1st Rain

A few things:

I miss warm weather already.
It's suppose to rain tonight. First rain of the season.
Going to dinner with Ron's two brothers + the girlfriend=tomorrow.
Million Dollar listing is funny.
Shabu Shabu hits the spot on chilly autumn nights.
Really need to finish the photos for Jacque. Maybe tonight.
Really craving soda. Anything carbonated.
Taking nyquil tonight, in hopes I can knock out till morning.
