Palm Springs | Oct

Just got back from Palm Springs. It was interesting and relaxing to say the least, although I
probably couldn't live there. Here are a few photos from the past few days. Post more later.
Hope these image links don't go bad.

Ron. Immediately after breakfast at 6pm. A little early for a dinner.

Palm Springs. Yes, pretty much sums it up. Strange strange things lurking in every corner.

$5 to climb T.Rex. I didn't pay.

Cabazon. Visiting Pee Wee's T.Rex, from Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

Breakfast in bed, after a looong night at some weird pub, watching the dodger game. I had
a pounding headache this morning. Didn't even make it out to the pool to lounge with
a tropical drink in hand.

Fields of green, in the afternoon sun. This was one of the most memorable moments
of the trip for some reason. Some kind of freeing feeling here. I felt peaceful for the
first time in about a month.

Diners with friendly waitresses and tasty home fried potatoes.

Salton, Sea. A large body of water in the middle of the desert. Such an odd sight to see,
and the few towns that line the water, look like they were hit by a nuclear bomb. I've never
seen anything like it. I wish I took more photos there, but it was too windy and we didn't
end up staying too long.

Went to lunch this afternoon, in Palm Springs. I guess a lot of people left yesterday,
but I noticed a few stragglers were left leeching on barstools, sipping on fruity cocktails & dancing to
80's pop songs. I felt like I hopped into a twilight zone portal.
