Another time and space

Up editing photos. Up eating toast and drinking flat pellegrino.

I can't concentrate.

Hang on to a dream

A dream a dream a dream.

ELLE | Japan

Went over to Ron's brother's place tonight, so Ron could grab a suit. Ended up talking
to Kara about the wedding and looking through magazines. She let me borrow a couple
Japanese wedding magazines. My main objective was editorial stuff but I ended up
stopping on the wedding dresses because they're just so pretty. I can't help myself,
I love weddings. :)

Here are two I scanned in. They're so adorable. I'll scan more tomorrow, it's too late
for that loud obnoxious sound of the scanner to go off.

I guess I should sleep, it's so late!

G'night world.

How to disappear completely

Wow, today has been rather productive. It feels great to know I'm actually getting somewhere.
Been online researching all day and working on the site. Really excited for all of this to kick off.

Got a package from Lauren in the mail, which really just brightened the day a whole lot more.
Thank you, Lauren! <3

Wrote down some resolutions on paper. Just a whole bunch of little things I need to work
on in the coming year. Work-on-self type stuff. Also, a few things I want accomplished. I've
never had so many goals in all my life! I guess this is a good thing, I feel 100% challenged.
2009 was definitely a hard year. It pushed me backwards into a little dark corner where all I could
really do was question where this very path was leading me and if I want to be going in that
direction. Change is good. I seem to really hate it when it first presents itself, but getting out of
your self-made routines is healthy. Staying indoors and twiddling your thumbs while watching
your favorite T.V shows and eating ramen is NOT what I call a good time. Not if you're doing this
every day of your life. No. But then, that's just me. I feel like I really have fallen down the rabbit
hole. A far deeper hole than ever before and it's going to feel DAMN good once i've found a way
up to that sunshine and fresh air.

Oh yes.

Now back to researching & note taking. Have a good remainder of the day. :)

Insomnia and daydreaming

Alright, so I made it to UPS. Ron ended up coming home early and took me to drop it off. I swear
if I knew my car was going to be dead sooner, I would've walked. I was so OVER IT. I can't believe
my car didn't start. I was a little excited to take a short adventure, even if it was a little scary in
my mind. Please pray that the Polaroids get received tomorrow. I made sure that no signature was
needed to receive the package, but we all know how things can ALWAYS go haywire. I have my
fingers crossed and am hoping for the best.

After UPS, I made beef stroganoff. Picked up some round tip steak yesterday, and some sour cream.
boiled some pasta and browned the beef. It came out good, very creamy but good. Maybe i'll use
a little less cream next time, that was a little much. What should I make next? Any suggestions? Hm.
Kinda tired of shoyu chicken and beef stroganoff, spaghetti and breakfast foods. I need something
else that is easy and semi-basic. ALSO, not too fattening. The macaroni and cheese casserole was
a little heavy. I was looking around and found a good recipe on beef/chicken/tofu nabe, and one
on sukiyaki. Ron was saying that he really likes Hayashi rice, so maybe that will be next. I've never
tried it but he said it was really good, so I think I'm just gonna trust him and try it out.

If you've noticed, we still have our Christmas tree up. I'm hanging on to it because I just like seeing
it there. Every year I'm sad when we have to get rid of our tree. It's so bare and sad without it. I
wish there was something else there that could take its place. Should I just string the lights around
the wall and pretend something festive is happening?

What else is on my mind? Oh yeah! I feel like having a party, just to decorate. Of course that's just
not going to happen, but I can dream. Picnic tables lined w/ cute floral table cloths, sun tea on a
hot summers day, streamers and balloons, cupcakes and macarons, and laughs from good friends
and people we love and have missed, and pretty fresh flowers in cheap vases from the rose bowl
flea market. I have just defined my ideal Summer party. Now how can I make this happen? I'm gonna
need a few people to fly in from Hawaii. A FEW. Not a lot. Noo no, not a lot. Anyway, I'm babbling.
Back to the real world I go. Have a good night/morning.

Instant

I'm going to be showing some photos here on Saturday, that is, if I can ever make it to
UPS in time for it to arrive on time. Got ready, packed everything and scanned all the
polaroids to high res (for myself), and got in my car, only for it not to start. Damn.

I'm not surprised though, not at all. I'm just hoping for the best. Think happy thoughts...

Monday | Taco Night

Had a good day. SURPRISE!

My camera that I saved for two years for, up and broke on me the other day. Thankfully, the good
people at the shop I always go to, helped me out and fixed it for no charge! THANK YOU! I was so
scared it was going to cost me a whole bunch of money and I'd have to somehow pull money out of
a magic hat. It would've been the only way, and honestly, I would've been screwed.

Picked up ingredients to make tacos and cooked when I got home. Quick and easy. Slowly I'm gaining
speed at cooking. It feels good cause I've always been really horrible at cooking. It's a slow process but,
I'm getting better. :) I really like cooking, it's almost therapeutic.

Still working on the resolution list. STILL not done. Biggest list i've ever made. I'll post it one day. Happy
Monday! Have a good night
