Insomnia and daydreaming

Alright, so I made it to UPS. Ron ended up coming home early and took me to drop it off. I swear
if I knew my car was going to be dead sooner, I would've walked. I was so OVER IT. I can't believe
my car didn't start. I was a little excited to take a short adventure, even if it was a little scary in
my mind. Please pray that the Polaroids get received tomorrow. I made sure that no signature was
needed to receive the package, but we all know how things can ALWAYS go haywire. I have my
fingers crossed and am hoping for the best.

After UPS, I made beef stroganoff. Picked up some round tip steak yesterday, and some sour cream.
boiled some pasta and browned the beef. It came out good, very creamy but good. Maybe i'll use
a little less cream next time, that was a little much. What should I make next? Any suggestions? Hm.
Kinda tired of shoyu chicken and beef stroganoff, spaghetti and breakfast foods. I need something
else that is easy and semi-basic. ALSO, not too fattening. The macaroni and cheese casserole was
a little heavy. I was looking around and found a good recipe on beef/chicken/tofu nabe, and one
on sukiyaki. Ron was saying that he really likes Hayashi rice, so maybe that will be next. I've never
tried it but he said it was really good, so I think I'm just gonna trust him and try it out.

If you've noticed, we still have our Christmas tree up. I'm hanging on to it because I just like seeing
it there. Every year I'm sad when we have to get rid of our tree. It's so bare and sad without it. I
wish there was something else there that could take its place. Should I just string the lights around
the wall and pretend something festive is happening?

What else is on my mind? Oh yeah! I feel like having a party, just to decorate. Of course that's just
not going to happen, but I can dream. Picnic tables lined w/ cute floral table cloths, sun tea on a
hot summers day, streamers and balloons, cupcakes and macarons, and laughs from good friends
and people we love and have missed, and pretty fresh flowers in cheap vases from the rose bowl
flea market. I have just defined my ideal Summer party. Now how can I make this happen? I'm gonna
need a few people to fly in from Hawaii. A FEW. Not a lot. Noo no, not a lot. Anyway, I'm babbling.
Back to the real world I go. Have a good night/morning.
