Last Day In Hawaii

Today is our last day in Hawaii. I'm somewhat excited to go home, get a christmas tree,
go on a DIET!, and get back into the swing of things. It was nice seeing and spending
time with good friends and family. Mom is gonna pick me up soon and we're going
to hang out while Ron and his dad golf down at the Oahu Club.

I haven't really been updating this too much, kinda been in my own little bubble of
thought lately. Gonna miss everyone and the FOOD and the nearly perfect weather!
It's been a good trip! I'm about to eat a chili chicken mix plate :) Zzz. For old times
sake.

4 Days

Torn between the love of two cities. What to do with myself? I think if I had the chance to move to
Oahu or Kauai, it would be Kauai. Is that crazy? Not to me. Less people, more nature, small towns,
mom and pop shops vs. huge chain stores, rivers and ponds, waterfalls and caves, untainted beaches.
What more can you want? Shopping? I can do it online, easily.

Anyway, that's not the point of today's entry. Not sure there's even a point actually. I've just been caught
up feeling a little nostalgic again. Spending a nice day with my family. I'm gonna miss them a lot when
I go back to Los Angeles. I hate missing them, it's such a sad/shitty feeling! Too bad I wasn't okay with
flying back and forth! It would alleviate a lot of pain.

These photos were taken in Aiea. The hometown. Near Todd's house. Pearl Harbor in the distance. Ehh.
We take to many beautiful things for granted. It reminds me of a little interlude audio sample that
Lauren put on one of my mixtapes (TAPES). "You have to make yourself sick. Physically sick". Sick of
a newer object, to appreciate the old. Why can't we just learn to love the now? Why is that so hard?!

I'm so tired. 1 am. I'm going to sleep! Long long day. G'night.

Allergic to air

First day being back on Oahu, and I'm so drained. Still. There was a BBQ tonight at my
grandma's house. I didn't bring a camera, just wanted to relax and enjoy the night with
family. And that I did.

Went down to mom and dad's house after dinner and watched the smithsonian station.
A special on the Hawaiian islands in HD! It was pretty amazing. I want to watch it again
somehow.

Got to see Anubis the cat and pet him for a good 15 minutes out in grandma's laundry
shed. I've missed him, so. Also stared at the stars and planets waiting for a falling star
but it never came. The sky was insanely clear tonight. I always forget just how clear the
skies are. Los Angeles is 38 degrees right now. Not looking forward to heavy jackets,
nylons and heaters! Where are you spring? Where are you spring TRAINING? I miss you
baseball. I miss you Mr. Sun!

Come back.

Alright. I have to wash up and get to sleep. My eyes are heavy and my sinuses are really
bad. Have a good night and morning :) G'nite.

Day One | Oahu

This is the first day of our trip back home. Leaving LAX was full of nervousness (for me) and last
minute packing. I popped a Xanax from my doctor and started to feel a little less stressed out about
flying. I even managed to get some photos at the gate! I've found that taking photos excessively,
makes me feel a little better. It's the only thing that forces me out of my little analyzation box. It
allows me to focus completely on taking the photo, after photo, after photo. And even though I look
like a complete psycho taking snapping away at any/everything, it works. I felt better.

Fast forward 2 weeks and i've already taken 3 flights. To Honolulu, to Kauai, back to Honolulu. I can't
lie, I still HATE IT! But I'm happy I did it, it was worth it. I'll post more photos later. I'm so extremely
drained from shooting Jacque's wedding.

Also, I have an internet connection up. My father in-law just flew in from Japan today, so we've been
hanging out with him and spending some time. I'm about to take a nap. My parents are having a BBQ
for us tonight and it feels as though I'm running on fumes.

Zzz. G'night.

Album covers and fried rice

WOW. What a day. I feel so tired but it was all so worth it. Tried getting the internet up and
running once again. No luck. Ron worked 1/2 the day and then we headed down to Kaneohe
to work on shooting an album cover and hanging out with Lauren & Joe. I think the photos
turned out pretty amazing. A lot better than I was expecting. I don't really know WHAT I
was expecting, honestly. But it came out really good. I wish I could show samples, but I
can't. Sorry.

Got to hang out and catch up with Lauren. It was so nice, I've missed that so so much. I
wish we were closer to each other. Just to be able to talk and relax together. Distance is
really a bummer sometimes. Lauren, if you're reading this, you really need to visit me.
It'll be a chill experience I promise. :)

Well, I need to shower and pack a few things. This weekend is gonna be a long one.
Catching a plane tomorrow and shooting a wedding on Saturday! We also don't have a
ride to the airport in the morning so not sure what we're going to do!!!

Have a great weekend. Maybe i'll get to update there, they'll have internet for sure. G'night.

Days in December

I still don't have complete internet access but am making do with what we have right now.
The other day we drove 1/2 way around the island, it was nice. PLUS we ate good Korean
food and I had a really good coffee in the rain.

Yesterday I was on a witch hunt to find an outfit to shoot my friend's wedding on Kauai. It
was harder than I had expected. Checked two different malls and finally found something
after searching for HOURS! At least I got to spend time w/ a friend and catch up on life. It
was actually really nice.

Ron and I ate at Genki sushi afterwards but I wasn't too hungry unfortunately. Been having
a great couple of days! Today we're meeting with two of my closest friends to take photos
for an album cover and hang out. Looks a little gloomy out, I was hoping for some heavy
sunshine and blue skies. Oh well, it IS November.

I'm excited! Good friends. Good food. What more can one ask for?? :)

Ps-KAUAI TOMORROW!

Dec. 1st | Hawaii

Hey world! I'm still around, just without Internet! If that's even believable. I have so many photos I need to upload and
show you! Hopefully we can get a modem soon. I posted a few photos to my Flickr page but not nearly as many as
I've actually taken. Does that make sense? Not sure cause I'm really tired and am typing this entry out on my iPhone.

Just got back from my parents house. My mom cooked a really good roast beef with potatoes and carrots. I want to learn
how she does it. Those carrots were so soft and juicy, I loved it. Spent time with the family Which was really nice, and
caught the finale of the hills and the city. Yikes. Ya, so what!? Kill me for loving that stuff. :)

today we finally ate tan tan ramen at my favorite goma spot by ward. I had the tan tan ramen with 5 piece gyoza. It
tasted a little different but still very enjoyable. After lunch I went on a mini witch hunt for flats for jacques wedding. I
a black leather suede shoe with a little heel. I need to break them in, cause it feels like the leather insole is ripping my
skin apart. I shouldve brought my shoes from LA! I forgot them. Along with my belt and top. Oh well.

Tomorrow we have a lunch with my old co-workers. My friend dee just had a baby at age 40. She didn't think she could
have children and then bam! It happened. A little mini-dee! I'm excited to see them. They've always been really good people.
I miss seeing them everyday.

Well. I should get to sleep. I'm reading an Ann Rice book titled "Blood And Gold" about vampires. Still trying to get into it.
Anyway, I should sleep. Photos to come soon hopefully. Have a good night and day tomorrow! G'nite.
